Domestic Bliss
Domestic Bliss is a training and placement organization which is committed to the upliftment, education, and skills development of domestic workers – child minder, cleaner, cook, driver, farm worker, gardener, home based carer, housekeeper, kitchen assistant, seamstress and laundry assistant.
Domestic Bliss also offers training to corporate cleaning and housekeeping staff, beverage attendants, as well as in- house laundry, cooking and cleaning to Healthcare and Hospitality Industries.
Domestic Bliss is a SERVICES SETA accredited company, which offers quality training all over South Africa. Domestic Bliss is accredited by UMALUSI Council for Quality Assurance in General and Further Education and Training. Domestic Bliss holds a prestigious award in Customer Services, certified on the three-star grading system by SERVICES SETA.
Employers benefit by having responsible, competent staff managing their homes and facilities.
Course participants are motivated and provided with professional skills to enhance their job performance, thereby facilitating the smooth- running of households and facilities. Taking initiative and being responsible are amongst the key attitudes that are developed.
Practical and group work, as well as role play, are characteristic of our teaching methods.
Steady revision and questioning assist in monitoring each student’s grasp of the material/ content of the lesson/ course.
Employers are encouraged to review and discuss our material to ensure the worker fully understands the employer’s needs and requirements, so that they may work in a more focused and purposeful way. Employers are also requested to co-sign the certificate once they are satisfied that the relevant knowledge and skills learned during the course have been implemented in the home.
The focus of Domestic Bliss training is to provide individuals with the skills and confidence to effectively manage and clean the home, office, facility, perform laundry tasks effectively, as well as cook tasty meals and responsibly perform childcare duties, ensuring enthusiasm and dignity within the individual as a skilled domestic worker.
Domestic Bliss recognizes the need for good communication between employer and employee and covers the importance of mutual trust and respect during their relationship.
Learners are extremely keen to be trained and are typically receptive and enthusiastic learners. They greatly appreciate their learning opportunities and engage actively in the learning process.
